Missions

One of our values as a church is "Jesus' Mission". What we mean by that is Jesus came to us - we didn't seek him. And if Jesus sought us without our knowing it, we too should seek out and help others - even if they don't understand at first why we are doing it. Therefore, we put forth about 20% of our money towards missions. Here are some ministies we regularly give to:

1. Church Planting in Minnesota through the Evangelical Free Church of America. We believe that there should be many gospel-proclaiming churches in every community in Minnesota. Therefore, we tithe of our income towards beginning church plants much like ours.

2. We support Vernacular Video Mission, International. This is a mission that works with nationals in the Philippines creating videos that proclaim the gospel in the mother tongue of remote peoples.

3. We support Michael and Kambria Robertson, missionaries with Open Doors Ministry, International in Guatemala. Mihael and Kambria work primarily with orphans and medical ministry near Guatemala City. Our church has taken several missions trips to serve with them.

4. Voice of the Martyrs. This organization reaches out to the persecuted church throughout the world. We support an ethnic couple in Cuba.

5. Doug and Cheryl Conrad, missionaries with the Evangelical Free Church Mission in Japan. Doug and Cheryl are working to plant a church in Japan.

6. There are several other ministries we give towards on a periodic basis. We strongly believe that we are not here to be a "holding take" for money. Rather, we strive to give away any excess monies that come to us.
